abstract botanicals

these more abstract works on canvas are also inspired by the Australian botanical world - but allow Julie to explore the seed pods and structural forms of these plants.
‍
with these paintings, Julie continues to study the interior landscapes of seed pods - the deeper one goes, the more complex and abstract they become. colour is intuitive rather than literal.
